Q6. What is the one thing that is needed as per Jesus? Clue – This one thing will not be taken away.

A1. Jesus wants us to pray for labourers who can harvest for the Kingdom of Heaven. He says the harvest is truly great, but the labourers are few. Jesus wants us to pray that labourers are sent into His harvest. You can read about this in Luke 10:2

Jesus wants the labourers to go to the cities and heal the sick informing them that the Kingdom of God has come near to them. Luke 10:9

A2. Jesus wants us to know that it’s our Heavenly Father’s good pleasure to give us the Holy Spirit.

Jesus wants all who love Him, to receive the Holy Spirit. He speaks about a father son interaction. He says which father would give a son a stone when he asks for bread? He says no father would give a serpent to a son who asks for a fish, nor would any father give a scorpion to a son who asks for an egg. Jesus says if imperfect fathers would give lovingly to their children, how much more will the perfect Heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to the children who ask for it? ( refer Luke 11:11-13)

A3. Love can be measured by the extent to which a person has been forgiven. Jesus speaks in Luke 7:40 about a creditor who had two debtors. One who owed the creditor 50 Denarii while the other owed him 500 Denarii. When both did not have anything to repay, the creditor forgave both of them. Then Jesus asks the Pharisee in whose house he was invited for dinner, which among the debtors loved the creditor more. The Pharisee answered Jesus and told him the one who was forgiven a greater amount was loved more. Jesus agreed to this answer by the Pharisee.

When Jesus had accepted the dinner invitation of the Pharisee, a woman in the city who had known to have poor morals knew about Jesus coming to the Pharisee’s house. She brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil. She washed the feet of Jesus with her tears. Kissed his feet, anointed his feet with the fragrant oil.

The Pharisee thought to himself if Jesus as a prophet knew what kind of woman she was. Then Jesus told this story about the creditor and the two debtors.

After telling the story Jesus told the Pharisee that her many sins were forgiven and she was loved much. Jesus probably looked into the eyes of the Pharisee and told this. To whom little is forgiven, the same loves little. ( Luke 7:47)

Jesus later said to the lady, your sins are forgiven. He told her that her faith has saved her. Jesus wished her Peace in moving forward in life.

A4. Jesus says that John the Baptist was the greatest prophet. (Refer Luke 7:28) He goes on to say that the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John the Baptist, the greatest prophet.

This specifically points to anyone who is in the Kingdom of God is greater than John the baptist. This person can be any kind of sinner, yet when he/she accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and thus enters into the Kingdom of God, he/she is greater than the greatest prophet.

Probably you are reading these blogs since you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, you become among those who are greater than the greatest prophet.

A5. Jesus was asked by a lawyer what he should be doing to inherit eternal life. Jesus replied that there were two things that were required. No.1 Loving God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. The No. 2 requirement was, Loving one’s neighbour as yourself. These were the two requirements for eternal life given as an answer by Jesus. You can read this answer Luke 10:25-37.

A6. This is about Jesus when he visited the house of two sisters Mary and Martha. Martha welcomed Jesus.

She then went on to the kitchen to prepare snacks for Jesus, while Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear what Jesus spoke about the scriptures and the Kingdom of God.

And Martha was troubled that Mary was at the feet of Jesus rather than helping heer in the kitchen, preparing eats for Jesus.

Jesus said that hearing the Word of God was needed. Hearing about the kingdom of God was required. Mary has chosen this. This act and desire of hearing and growing in receiving and hearing the word of God will not be taken away.
