Why read the Gospels?

why read gospel

Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Only through Jesus we have salvation and eternal life. By believing in Jesus, as the begotten son of God, His death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection, we have forgiveness of sins and receive righteousness.

The four books of the New Testaments, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John cover the life and teachings of Jesus. Hence it’s most important to read and know the Gospels. Read these most frequently and know Jesus. These books are foundational in Christian faith. Having a good knowledge of these books is important before gaining understanding of the other books. The Bible has 66 books in total. 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. The Gospels are the 4 books in the New Testament.

Why fellowship?

Why fellowship?

When we fellowship, an innate longing for God is partially met. Since man was made in the image and likeness of God, from time to time we experience the goodness of God from people around us. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27 NKJV)

In Colossians 1:27b, we read which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27b NKJV). Often we may recall, getting a generous shower of hope from God when we fellowship with certain people.

Reinhard Bonnke – Quotes

Reinhard Bonnke - Quotes

Reinhard Bonnke was used by God in a powerful way in Africa and many other parts of the world. I was fortunate to have attended meetings addressed by him. The power and passion was always extremely high. He would not tolerate anything but the very best of himself for the service of the Lord and the Lord’s people. Thinking about the meetings he spoke, energizes me for Christ Jesus. No wonder he was used to bring back to life many who were dead. Many of these are so well documented. To Christ Jesus be the glory. Here are a few of his quotes

Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
