Reinhard Bonnke – Quotes

Reinhard Bonnke - Quotes

Reinhard Bonnke was used by God in a powerful way in Africa and many other parts of the world. I was fortunate to have attended meetings addressed by him. The power and passion was always extremely high. He would not tolerate anything but the very best of himself for the service of the Lord and the Lord’s people. Thinking about the meetings he spoke, energizes me for Christ Jesus. No wonder he was used to bring back to life many who were dead. Many of these are so well documented. To Christ Jesus be the glory. Here are a few of his quotes

Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

God has a thousand-year calendar with only one day marked on it. It is marked TODAY.

We never do great things without trying.

Don’t plan with what is in your pocket; plan with what is in God’s pocket.

Faith is a leap into the light, not a step into the darkness.

We must divorce Chocolate and Disobedience, and marry Faith and Heroism.

Faith…needs to be matched with action. Belief is not just brain cells in motion. It demands a response. Do we do what we believe? If we believe in seed, we plant it.

Miracles begin within us and then affect our surroundings.

It is said that resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for your enemy to die. There is no room for such a waste of energy in the service of God.

You have faith stories, too. No matter how small, remember them, recite them, count them, and celebrate them. They build your faith for what is coming next in your life.

My only joys therefore are that when God has given me a work to do, I have not refused it.

Faith removes the mountains that unbelief creates.

God always works with workers and moves with movers, but He does not sit with sitters.

Funds are low again, hallelujah! That means God trusts us and is willing to leave His reputation in our hands.

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.

Christ wants not nibblers of the possible, but grabbers of the impossible.

Prayer is good; but when used as a substitute for obedience, it is nothing but a blatant hypocrisy… Don’t hedge! Time flies! … Enlist!

I cannot tell you what joy it gave me to bring the first soul to the Lord Jesus Christ. I have tasted almost all the pleasures that this world can give. I do not suppose there is one that I have not experienced, but I can tell you that those pleasures were nothing compared to the joy that the saving of that one soul gave me.

Some wish to live within the sound of church and chapel bell. I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell!

The light that shines farthest shines brightest nearest home.

True religion is like the smallpox. If you get it, you give it to others and it spreads.

Faith is the power line, but prayer switches it on.

Jesus will Lift you out of the deepest pit, but He will not lift you out of your easy chair.

If you are doing nothing, God doesn’t need to give you any help in doing nothing. Go out and do something impossible for Jesus, and then God will help you.

The devil will try to stop you from praying because prayer stops him.

The Gospel is like water; no man invented it, yet no man can live without it.

Those who forever seek the will of God are over run by those who do it.

Anyone can believe when God is already moving. But real faith is when you step out when it seems that God is not moving.

Don’t accept the applause of men, and you won’t be destroyed by their criticism.

Let us not glide through this world and then slip quietly into heaven, without having blown the trumpet loud and long for our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Let us see to it that the devil will hold a thanksgiving service in hell, when he gets the news of our departure from the field of battle.

I am getting desperately afraid of going to heaven for I have had the vision of the shame I shall suffer as I get my first glimpse of the Lord Jesus; His majesty, power, and marvellous love for me, who treated Him so meanly and shabbily on earth and acted as though I did Him a favour in serving Him! No wonder God shall have to wipe away the tears off all faces, for we shall be broken-hearted when we see the depth of His love and the shallowness of ours.

What use is it going to one prayer meeting after another to pray for power if you never do anything that needs power, or your prayers are steeped in disobedience and unbelief? Faith does not come by logic. Remember the feeding of the 5,000? Miracles flow only through hands that distribute bread. Faith and obedience is the vehicle, which carries believers – even timid ones – into the miracle zone.

[God’s will for you] is not something to be discovered by hard searching, prayer, thought and sacrifice. It begins by making up your mind that God’s will is the greatest thing in your life, greater than any success.

All these being men of war came with a perfect heart to make Jesus King over all the world. They were all mighty men of valour for the war! He that was least was equal to a hundred, and the greatest to a thousand! They were not of double heart! Their faces were like the faces of lions! They were as swift as the roes upon the mountains (to do their Lord’s commands)! Ye sought in time past, for Jesus to be King over you. NOW, THEN, DO IT (Compare 1 Chronicles 12:8, 33, 38, and 2 Samuel 3:17-18).

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer.
