Glimpses of the beauty of God

Glimpses of the beauty of the Lord

God our Lord is beautiful. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. (Psalm 50:2)

The bright and beautiful sun is one of God’s creations. We see the very same sun from the freezing cold in Roveniemi in Finland or the jungles of Kenya or brilliant city of Dubai. When some of the sun’s light comes through the leaves of the trees, it’s so beautiful. We can hardly watch the full sun, when it’s bright and dazzling. We are cautioned not to watch it directly as the intense brightness can blind one’s eyes. Let us remember that the Sun is just one of God’s innumerable creations. Pause. Think. Even the intricacies of the human mind are beyond comprehension. Like this, the more we think and imagine about God’s creation, we will be filled with awe of God. All of which points to the beauty beyond comprehension, beauty beyond words of the almighty God, the omnipotent, the omnipresent One.

God’s glory is beautiful. Everywhere God is glorified we get to see glimpses of God’s glory. When signs, wonders, miracles, healing are experienced we get to experience the tangible aspects of God’s glory, God’s beauty.

God is love. The beauty of God’s love is so resplendent that we cannot comprehend it. Understanding of this magnificent truth comes in as we walk with Him.

The lyrics of this song sums it up well
God’s love it’s so wonderful
God’s love it’s so wonderful
God’s love it’s so wonderful
Oh! Wonderful love!
So high you can’t get over it
So high you can’t get over it
So high you can’t get over it
Oh! Wonderful love!
So deep you can’t get under it
So deep you can’t get under it
So deep you can’t get under it
Oh! Wonderful love!
So wide you can’t get around it
So wide you can’t get around it
So wide you can’t get around it
Oh! Wonderful love!
God’s love it’s so wonderful
God’s love it’s so wonderful
God’s love it’s so wonderful
Oh! Wonderful love!

If you wish to soak in it, hear this song. Hear this improvised version, which makes it even more beautiful.

The presence of God brings peace. Every storm is commanded to be still in His presence. And the beauty of Peace is of a very high order.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and calls the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.( Psalms 50:1-2)

Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ is the perfection of beauty. He is full of grace and truth. Jesus is the express image of Father God.

How can we see and enjoy this great beauty?

As we desire to see this beauty, we can take specific steps. We can choose to be in God’s presence. He will reveal layer upon layer of amazing beauty in various dimensions. In the workplace, in your home, in the marketplace, and everywhere you go.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. (Psalm 27:4 KJV)

Here is this in greater detail in the Amplified Classified One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4 AMPC)

Be the amazingly beautiful creation of God for the people who God brings around you today. Glorify the Lord. Glorify the beauty of the Lord.

…………..take a long leap………….or very, very, very long walk you would like to reach a place which says this.

The Lord gives His attributes to His people. For the people who morn in Zion, the Holy Mountain, in His presence this is the exchange which the Lord has prepared.

The Lord gives:
Beauty instead (in the place of) ashes.
Oil of joy instead (in the place of) morning
Parment of praise instead of spirit of heaviness

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3 NKJV)

To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3 AMPC)
