Christian grandparents are busy and wise

Many people have a relaxed time after retirement. Most of them don’t have anything to do. But when a Christian retires, he or she is busy They have a lot to do and accomplish before they can rest. It’s amazing and beautiful because they’re busier than ever before!

Christian grandparents are busy; they are filled with joy. They are filled with great enthusiasm.

Over the many years, I met many of them, spoke to them, and spent time with them. I heard and received a huge treasure trove from them. I so enjoyed the time I spent with them that I longed to spend more time with them. But each time my joy kept bubbling, I became filled with joy, and peace surrounded me.

Everyone, uncle, aunty, and grandparent, told different stories. Yet all of them told these stories with great passion and enthusiasm. Some spoke about their children, others about their grandchildren and children. They loved them dearly. But it was beyond loving their children and grandchildren.

These senior citizens, these grandparents, as Christians, have eternity in mind. They believe they can change the world. They believe they can make their mark on eternity.

By praying for their children, grandchildren, and extended family, they knew very well that they were changing the course of eternity. The Christian senior citizens pray with perseverance for their children. All that the grandparents pray for is precious in the Lord’s eyes. Some of these are listed below.

And many more…

The loving grandparents start off with thankfulness for God’s faithfulness.
They thank God for all the days God has given them.
They thank God for all the children, grandchildren.
They thank God for the family and the greater family they have.

They pray with the names of each child or grandchild.
They sometimes pray with their children’s pictures by their sides.
They pray with love, never being tired.
They pray relentlessly.
They pray unceasingly.
They pray with joy and great love.

Their expectation is certain. They know that the course of history is being changed because of their prayers.

They know that the beliefs they exercise in their lives become a spiritual inheritance for their grandchildren and children. The apostle Paul, who wrote the largest number of books in the Bible, knew the miracle working power of prayer. He reminds Timothy about his mother’s and grandmother’s precious faith.
2nd Timothy 1:5 NKJV says this. When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

When Abraham’s servant, Eliaser, travelled far to an unknown land and precisely reached Rebecca, the girl that the Lord had ordained as Isaac’s wife. Abraham’s prayers and strong desire for a good spouse for his son Isaac became like a powerful GPS for Eliaser. Can not imagine the right spouses many of us have received because of prayers of our grandparents and parents.

In the Old Testament we read, Hannah greatly wept and prayed for a child; she became pregnant with Samuel, whom she gave back to God after he grew up, who grew up to the mighty role of the prophet Samuel.
1 Samuel 1:26-28 says And she said, “O my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord.” So they worshiped the Lord there.

So many prayers have arisen from our parents for each one of us. Some of us know; others may never know.

Let us just praise God and thank God for the heritage we enjoy because of the long and ceaseless prayers of the Christian grandparents who are busy. They do the wisest thing ever by praying for and loving their children and living a life of faith so that the greatest eternal blessings are poured out on their children and grandchildren. making them all inheritors of God’s kingdom and salvation.

The greatest investment that old Christians make are eternal riches as they pray in faith and live a life in faith, which is an inheritance for their children and grandchildren.

Many of the Christian elders also know that as they influence and impact the future generations, they are indeed getting a share in the eternal riches – thereby growing their riches as well.

As a result, lives become renewed, and their joy and peace increase. But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. ( Isaiah 40:31 NKJV)

A heartfelt salute to the elderly Christians, the wise and busy Christians who spend their days hoping and anticipating the expansion of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for themselves and their children. May their eternal riches grow exponentially, inspiring generations to come.
