(John 1:14 NKJV) One reason that is more than enough to read the Bible – the Word of God.

Thriving relationships with friends and people at work.
You start valuing every person,
Knowing that God sent Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind.

i) Protection from sin
You are protected from sinful ways when you hide verses from the Bible within your heart.

j) Become strong to face any enemy
If you feel overwhelmed by the enemy, reading and knowing the Living Word of God will empower you into your victory. Read 1 Samuel 17 NKJV – David and Goliath – Now the Philistines – Bible Gateway As the verses in the Bible are written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God, the breakthroughs that come your way as you hold on to it are supernatural in nature. As you exercise faith when reading, knowing and remembering the verses in your heart, you become empowered.

k) Knowing your identity in God
What David told his enemy, the giant Goliath in Chapter 17 is an identity statement in the Lord. An excerpt is given below.
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.” (1Samuel 17:45-47 NKJV)

l) Standing in faith without fear to see the salvation of the Lord
When the tyranny of any authority makes us miserable like a slave, reading the Bible encourages us to have faith and expectation. The instance when the Egyptians were treating the Israelites like dirt and not letting them worship, the Bible encourages us in the victory path.

The Lord sent the 10 plagues to the Egyptians, but these plagues did not harm the Isralites. The spectacular crossing of the Red Sea by the Isralites are powerful instances of the Lord’s protection and provision at the right time are amazing. The power of standing in faith without fear trusting in God leads us to experience the salvation of the Lord.
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. (Exodus 14:13 NKJV)

m) Knowing about the exchange store in Heaven available for you
When you dont like your present circumstance, you can go to Heavens exchange store, give one and get back in return a far superior alternative.
To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit.(Isaiah 61:3 AMPC)

n) Getting know how important we are
We are reminded that we are very very important because of the many verses mentioned in the Bible. Here are just a few. Remember that you were created in the image of God. Remember that you have the mind of Jesus Christ, the son of God. The others are left out so you can have the joy of finding them for yourself from the Bible yourself.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27 NKJV) For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16 NKJV)

o) Makes our lives fruitful
When we keep remembering the verses from the Bible, we do only the right things in the eyes of God, we are led by the spirit of God, God surrounds us with favour, we become fruitful. This is so well stated in the psalms.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1:2,3 NKJV)

p) Get to know how to get what we wish
Do you know that when certain pre-conditions are met, you can get what you desire. Here is this powerful key.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7 NKJV)

q) Access the tree of life
When you give your dear loving parent what he or she desires, you can be certain that it gives a definite and certain zest for life. This truth can be used to increase abundant life in any person who you desire to bless with access to the tree of life. Note: You can choose to bless yourself by facilitating a desire satisfied.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12 NKJV)

r) Drink of living water
From the Bible, we read about the Samarian lady. Like her, if we ask Jesus, he will give us living water and we will never thirst again. Jesus does not restrict giving this living water based on the past. Jesus knew the past life about the samaritain woman, yet he was willing and gave her the privilege to drink the living water.
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. ………Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:11,13and 14 NKJV)

s) Reminds us our responsibility to speak up and not to be silent
Queen Ester was not born into a royal family, yet she became a queen due to the Lord’s favour. As a Jew her uncle, Mordecai, reminded her that the Jews in the kingdom were facing a huge crisis, ‘death of the Jews in the kingdom”!
For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NKJV)

t) Teaches us to pray
The bible has many prayers within the various books. These are worthy to be used as a prayer as it is as well can be used to inspire us into making our own prayers to the lord. Reading the Bible points us to these prayers. Here is one among many. Paul prays this for the members of the church in Ephesians.
I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
(Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV)

u) Resurrection power is available
Reading the Bible we get to know that Jesus resurrected Lazarus, after four days after his death. Jesus knew the death was to bring glory to God as he was certain that God wanted Lazarus to be resurected. Jesus’ resurrection of three others are mentioned in the Bible.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.(John 11:25 NKJV)

Jesus expects other disciples to do these and other miracles. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (John 14:12 NKJV)

The saints of God in various parts of the world have been channels of the Lords glory – by bringing to life those who were dead in the name of Jesus Christ. Reading the Bible, we are reminded about the importance of keeping our body Holy and separated for God.

w) Reminds us that we are the light of the world
We have a definete role in the world. We have to fulfil this. Only reading and knowing the Bible helps us fulfill God’s plans and ourposes for our life.
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. (Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV)
