When reading, we should not consider for a moment that we can manipulate God into receiving blessings. He sees our heart! Yet as a sincere person who loves God, we can earnestly work on ourselves to receive blessings from God.

We need to follow the written instructions of God given in the Bible. Only this can lead us to receive blessings. Here we have a few related topics on blessings. This will improve your understanding of blessings. Thus, you would be able to reach your destination more efficiently.

a.What are blessings?

Blessings are from God. Blessings can often be seen and felt, but sometimes they cannot be seen or felt. But they always bring joy and peace to the person who receives them. Blessings are not associated with sorrow. Fruitfulness of the land with a good yield is a blessing understood by many. Children are also a blessing. The work of one’s hands is said to be blessed when the results at the place of work are good, when there are more sales and greater profits in business.

A land flowing with milk and honey is a blessing. (Refer to Exodus 3:8) The promised land that the Lord swore to give Abraham was described so. The descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob were led by Moses from Egypt into the promised land. God leads His children in their lives to a blessed land.

b.What are the features of a blessed land?

Various verses of the Bible describe a blessed land. The blessed land is beautiful and resplendent in many ways, as shown below. Many portions of the Bible explain the features of a blessed land. choose to have love that suffers long and we choose to be kind;

when our love does not parade itself,

is not puffed up;
We do not behave rudely.
do not seek its own,
is not provoked,
When we think no evil;
When we do not rejoice in iniquity,
But rejoice in the truth;
When we bear all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Perhaps the above has encouraged you. You may be determined to pursue the blessings of the Lord seriously. Maybe you feel some of the above are more easily doable than the others.

Perhaps you feel the list is too long and you wish to give up your pursuit of blessings from God. Oh no—do not get overwhelmed—here is one law that sums it up. You need to only follow that one law to get blessed by God. Yes, it’s simple, it’s only one. Remember, Jesus has carried all the burden. So you don’t have to. Go on to the next point.

d.The most important one law of God!

Many like you wanted it simple and straight forward. So they asked Jesus. Yeah, some one did ask Jesus what are the most important commandments are.

Jesus replied, mentioning the law of LOVE. You can read about this one law which sums up all the laws and the prophets. It’s given in Matthew 22:37-40. The first part of the law is about loving God, while the 2nd part is about loving our neighbour.

  1. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.
  2. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus kept it simple for you and me, saying that all the Law and the Prophets depend on this law of love.
