Who can abide in God’s presence?

Who can abide in God's presence

Many desire to be in God’s presence. We know that in God’s presence, there is Peace. Even Love and Joy are present in God’s presence.

Not just Joy, but rather the fullness of Joy. Yes, this means abundant and overflowing Joy. Let us go through the specific verse which says this to confirm that this is true.
Psalm 16:11 NKJV says
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

So what should we do to be in God’s Presence? King David asks this question himself. He asks, Who can abide in God’s Presence? Fortunately, King David gets the answer and he shares it with us as well.

To be walking uprightly.
Works righteousness.
Speaks truth in his heart.
Does Not backbiteth by speaking and harming.
Does Not admonish/ rebuke the neighbor.
Condemns a wicked person.
But honors those who fear God.
Keeps his Word.
Does not give money on interest.
Does not take reward against innocents.
A person who does these will not be moved,
But will abide in God’s tabernacle.
And will dwell in God’s holy hill.

Here is Psalm 15 which is all the above.
1 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

2 He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;

3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he [b]take up a reproach against his friend;

4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
But he honors those who fear the Lord;
He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

5 He who does not put out his money at usury,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things shall never be moved. (Psalms 15 NKJV)
