God’s DNA is in you

God’s DNA is available for us. As you start reading this article, you may have doubts and disagreements. I, too, had doubts, but with greater observation and study, progressively all doubts were blown away by the wind. Often, children inherit their parents’ DNA. But it’s not always so. As we read this article seeking to understand what’s mentioned in the Bible, we get to understand the potential of what’s proposed.

This article on receiving God’s DNA is about forming God’s DNA within us. This article is grouped into various content themes. You may navigate and read this article any way you like, in any order, so that it makes sense to you.

Biblical basis: God’s DNA is in you

In these verses, we read that God created man and woman in His image and likeness. Yes, as per the original intent of our creator (God), we are meant to be like Him. This is so marvellous and very, very good. Go ahead and read this verse a few times.

Then God said, Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27, Amplified Bible, AMP)

A few verses down, this matter is emphasized once again. Here we read that we are not supposed to murder or kill another person since the person is also made in the image of God. So great glory and honor are associated with any person associated with the image of God.

Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man. (Genesis 9:6 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

The verse below speaks about God being our Father, His love for us, and Him calling us His children. Whose DNA do children have? Yes, obviously the father’s DNA. God being our heavenly Father, we progress towards having His DNA.

See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognise, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognise, acknowledge) Him.
Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is. (1 John 3:1-2 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

Not only are we children of God, we are heirs of God, sharing with Jesus Christ the inheritance from Abba, Father God. This verse from Romans 8:17 makes this clear.

And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. (Romans 8:17, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

Our Heavenly Father knew His children, i.e., each one of us, so very well. This verse clearly says we don’t need to be worried or be concerned about food, drink, and clothing, fashion or even style. We are assured that as children, our Father in Heaven knows all our needs. Be rest assured, He will take care of these things appropriately.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.” (Matthew 6:25-32)

When we choose to be led by the Spirit of God, we are the sons and daughters of God, as per this verse from Romans.

For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. (Romans 8:14 AMP)

God has loved us so very dearly that He gave His most precious and only Son, Jesus. And to all those who choose to trust Him, God gave them the gift given to His children, the gift of eternal life—a life of living with God forever.

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. (John 3:16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
