Daily Bible Reading and Meditation

Today’s verse is from the Galatians 3:28

Find below the verse from three versions of the Bible.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (version NIV)
There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority]. (version AMP)
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (version KJV)

Beautiful statement about equality. Reading this from the context we understand that once we have received salvation, once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our salvation, there is no distinction. Abraham was saved by grace which comes from faith in God. Each stage of his life, he chose to believe in the faithfulness of God.

While in the law from God received through Moses, awareness of sin was increased. Also, the law highlighted differences between Jew and Gentile, free man and slave. The law brought out that righteousness was not possible for any man. Sinfulness abounds in man. Since the only way for salvation was Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, God-ordained birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So once anyone has received Jesus Christ as his saviour, all are equal.

There is no distinction between the circumcised and uncircumcised, Jew or Gentile. Remember that you have the mind of Christ, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

May you experience Heaven as you see yourself as a child of God, seated in the heavenly places. Have a blessed day.
