Discipline of a Christian
As Christians we are to pray and read the Bible daily. Ideally we are to have a quiet time with God daily, hear Him daily. We are to praise and worship Him daily at home. We are to have a daily quiet time at home. We are to go to church and worship God as a community. We are to have Holy Communion as often as possible. We need to forgive ourselves and others. We need to be obedient to what the Lord directs us to. We need to be willing to sacrifice as well as share and be charitable. We need to love ourselves and others. And many more.
All these may not be our default nature, but we can choose to discipline ourselves in all these. Most importantly we need to love God above all and be fully confident about His great love towards us. We have this verse from Proverbs 3:5-6 which says this. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. All these are elements of a disciplined Chritian life. With discipline complemented by faith we can develop a consistent lifestyle which pleases our Lord and saviour.

We live life on earth, as citizens of Heaven on an assignment here on Earth. Our assignment is to bring Heaven on Earth through Jesus Christ, our redeemer. In this process, we get transformed into His image. We know that God created us in His image and His likeness. This is a process of transformation.
We progress in our assignment as we progress into being transformed into His image. Hence, they cover a wide range of canvas as the journey is resplendent and colourful in its variety. You will enjoy reading these, not necessarily agreeing to them – that is not a prerequisite to enjoy it.
Presence of God and rest
We like to rest. We love breaks when we study and even when we work. We wait for weekends and holidays so we can have some rest.
But as a Christian, we can choose to rest any time, any day of the week. Yes, this is true. This depends precisely on what we choose to think and where we consider ourselves to be.
Exodus 33:14 has a very powerful key to rest. The verse is given below as per a few different verses of the Bible. You can read that this is an assurance from God to Moses.
And He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (NKJV)
Declarations: Deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit
Declarations for a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit
Here are a few declarations based on Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, Chapter 8 and others from other parts of the Bible. These declarations will help you build a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, it’s good that He was going to the Heavenly Father so that the Holy Spirit can be sent. The Holy Spirit reminds us about the teachings of Jesus Christ. This enables us to speak and do things that bring Heaven down. Sin and sinful circumstances flee. The Holy Spirit helps us to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
