Guide To The Power of The Holy Spirit

Power of The Holy Spirit

Rarely does one come across a person who has such a deep understanding of church history and a true love for the church. I have never met someone so rich in the healing ministry and its impartation. He’s my hero for leveraging the power of testimonies in an amazing increase in healing. Hailing from a Catholic tradition, I salute Dr. Randy Clark for the love, time, and effort he takes for working with Catholics and many other denominations and having meetings and respectful conversations with them.

Reading the book over the weekend was a treat. I was on a spiritual high, knowing more about the resplendent personality of the Holy Spirit. For a few months, I had been desiring a closer walk with the Holy Spirit; hence, reading the book was the reason for a great celebration. Thank you Dr. Randy Clark for writing this book. Within hours after reading the book, I was insisting on praying for a relative of ours who was staying with us for the weekend. She had not prayed in tongues yet, as she was still a practicing Catholic who was never told about praying in tongues in the church.

Popular Verses: Gospel Of John

Popular Verses From Gospel Of John

Of the four Gospels in the Bible, the Gospel written by John is my favorite book in the Bible which is a collection of 66 books. I tell anyone who lacks time yet desires an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ to read this Gospel.

John called himself the ‘beloved disciple’ of Jesus. He laid his head on Jesus’ chest during the Last Supper. This gospel has many personal accounts of Jesus.

Unlike the Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke which are synoptic Gospels, John’s Gospel has the highest number of statements by Jesus, including ‘I am’ statements. This gospel has many beautiful verses of great truth. I invite you to feast on a selection of verses as an appetizer so that you thirst and hunger to read the whole Gospel of John multiple times.

Many verses from John’s Gospel are treasured by many. These are grouped so you can relish them depending on your taste. Click on the verses you wish to navigate to.

Do you have time?

Do you have time?

Our life span here on earth is limited. Our behavior and our attitude should be governed by this understanding. We need to pause and consider this truth from time to time. The Bible says: So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalms 90:12 NKJV). When we remember this truth, we will make different choices. In our family, we occasionally discuss this truth at our dining table, during our drives. Gradually, we make a shift in what we give importance to and in what we choose to ignore.

When the question, “Do you have time?” is asked, many assume we have time. We reason that we are only in our 30s or 100s, etc., not knowing that this question is neither about our age nor our health situation, etc.

Jesus has a subtle yet powerful way to convey deep truths so many can understand through parables. Let’s examine two of these first.

Rich man’s parable told by Jesus

We know the parable Jesus spoke about a rich man who had a great yield of crops. His health condition was not stated, hence would have been normal. As the harvest was beyond the capacity of the storehouse he had, he planned to demolish the existing storage facility and rebuild larger ones. He thought that as the harvest was so very large, he could take it easy and start enjoying eating, drinking, and being merry.
