Heavenly Father gives the Holy Spirit’s fullness when you ask him. Meditating the Word of God

Today’s verse is from Psalm 133:1. Here is the verse from four versions of the Bible.

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (version NIV)

If imperfect parents know how to lovingly take care of their children and give them what they need, how much more will the perfect heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit’s fullness when his children ask him. (version TPT)

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (version KJV)

If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him! (version AMPC)

All of you reading this have parents, some of you reading this are parents. Jesus speaks about loving parents. Although parents can have many imperfections and attributes not liked by the Lord, they love their children. Only God, our Heavenly Father, does not have imperfections. There is no imperfection nor any evil in Him. Jesus says if imperfect/evil parents know to give good gifts, how much more our Heavenly Father, who is good, would be willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask.

So go ahead and ask for the Holy Spirit’s abiding presence in your life. Ask for the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the day and night all the days of your life. You will love the change and transformation of your day.

The Holy Spirit gives wisdom, understanding, skills, responses at the spur of the moment…, the list of blessings we receive, and we can receive from Ruah Elohim (breath of God) is beyond imagination.

He was there when God’s created the Earth, when God breathed life into man, when David wrote the psalms, Gideon won the wars, when Bezalel crafted the tabernacle with remarkable skills and many more instances like these.

When we nurture our relationship with the Holy Spirit, we can yield the fruit of the Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control – found in Paul’s Epistle to Galatians chapter 5 verse 22 . The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are also precious.

Have a blessed day with the Holy Spirit, the Counsellor and Comforter. As Jesus Christ wanted the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem, so that they are endowed with the power of the Holy Spirit, seek HIM (precious Holy Spirit) with your sincere prayers.
