Meditating the Word of God – 4th November
Note: For today we are making a declaration.
We have here the declarations based on Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, Chapter 8. Many worldwide choose Romans 8 as among the most important Bible chapters for them. The verses in this chapter are a lifeline to many through the ages. I have found these to be powerful in navigating the course of my life and the decisions involved. One of my closest brothers or sisters in Christ, found freedom in verses from this chapter when they had fallen into the deepest trenches.
This declaration covers some key themes of the chapter. Not all the themes. We have two versions – brief versions. For the longer version continues further beyond the brief version.
Brief version of Declarations.
I am not condemned as I belong to Christ Jesus.
As I belong to Jesus Christ, the life – giving Spirit has freed me from the power of sin that leads to death.
Jesus Christ’s sacrifice as a man fulfilled the righteous requirements of the law for me. I live according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh.
I have surrendered to the Holy Spirit, I have set my mind on what the Spirit desires.
My mind, governed by the Spirit, leads me to life and peace.
I choose not to be governed by sinful nature, as such a person can not please God.
I am in the realm of the Spirit, as the Spirit of God lives in me.
I have the Spirit of Christ and I belong to Christ.
As Christ is in me, His Spirit gives life because of righteousness.
The Spirit of God is living in me. Father God raised Christ from the dead and gives life to my mortal body as His Spirit lives in me.
I will live, as I put to death the misdeeds of my body by the Spirit.
As I share in His sufferings, I would also share in his glory.
I am led by the Spirit of God, I am a child of God.
I am an heir of God and co-heir with Christ.
The Spirit of God himself intercedes for me through wordless groans.
The Spirit intercedes for me in accordance with the will of God.
These additional declarations can be added to the above, should you be inclined to a longer version.
God works for the good of me as I love him, I have been called according to his purpose.
God has predestined me to be conformed to the image of his Son.
No one can accuse me, as God has given me the right standing with Him by the risen Christ and ongoing intercession of Jesus for me.
No one or nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ. Neither fear, anxiety, accusation, nor rejections, failures, dangers, calamity, persecution or anything else.
Any trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword can not separate me from the love of Jesus Christ.
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord.
The Almighty and all powerful God is for me. I am the apple of His eye, so no one can be against me.
I am more than a conqueror through Jesus who loves me dearly.
