We either build relationships with words or let them fail when we do not speak correctly. This happens in our homes, at work, in business, in church and elsewhere. Jesus Christ our Lord and savior knew when to speak, had great will power to remain silent when it was the best option. When Satan tried to entice him with sin quoting scripture, Jesus spoke with wisdom with power citing the appropriate context of the scripture.

Here are declarations which can take you into the straight path of pleasing God in your conversations and building up strong relationships with your fellow human beings. In the process you can succeed more often when you speak, one to one as well as when you address a group of people.

My words are birthed in love as words without love sound like meaningless gong and clanging cymbal. ( 1 Corinthians 13:1)

I will be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger (James 1:19)

My words are timely, like apples of gold in settings of silver. (Proverbs 25:11)

I have the grace to speak like Stephen, so none can resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which I speak. ( Acts 6:10)

The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned to speak a word in season to the weary. I have the grace to speak encouragement, hope, joy and peace. (Ephesians 4:29, Isaiah 50:4, Proverbs 18:21, 15:4, 2:25)

I please the Lord with the words I speak and the meditation of my heart. (Psalm 19:14)

My words shall be pleasant as honey, sweet to the mind and healing to the body. (Proverbs 16:24)

I am not anxious on what I should speak as the Holy Spirit gives me the right words to speak. (Mark 13:11)

My words will be gentle, deflecting anger, never harsh causing tempers to flare up. (Proverbs 15:1)

I shall speak words that are brilliant, filled with wisdom and persuasive. (Proverbs 16:23, James 1:5)

I speak up for the dumb, the defenceless, the poor and the needy. (Proverbs 31:8,9)

I treasure God’s words more than my daily food. I do not depart from His commandment.(Job 23:12)

As a person with faith and without doubt, I know I can say to the mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” ( Mathew 21:21)

I have the grace to speak like Jesus, as a person with authority, bringing glory to God. I command with authority to unclean spirits in the name of Jesus and they obey at once. ( Mathew 7:29, Mark 1:27)
