Christian's Faith Walk

How to be like a child – as Jesus Christ wants?

I used to wonder if not being childlike makes us childish. But there is a deeper truth in this simple exercise, which many may be missing.

Here you will find the not-so-difficult things and the difficult things about being a child.
Especially a few things which Jesus wants you to be like a child.

Many of us know that children play.
They like sweets.
They laugh a lot.
They cry.
They will be back to being joyful soon.
They smile.
They are joyful often.
They are less likely to be sad.
They are least likely to brood.
They are full of love.
They persevere.
They are not tired of playing.
They are like friends.
They like family.
They sleep easily.
They wake up after sleeping enough.
They pray.
They love parents and grandparents.
They love to please others.
They want the approval of their parents.
A nod, a hug mean the world to them.
They thrive on enthusiasm.
They learn fast.
They learn what they see.
They learn what they are taught to a lesser extent.
They teach.
Teach with confidence.
They sing.
They don’t bother the sound they sing.
They dance.
Not ashamed.
They ask what they want.
No hesitation.
Want the birthdays to be celebrated.
They hide in plain sight.
They are not pretentious.
They don’t hide their feelings.
They express without restraints.
They are rich in love.
They believe their parents.
Nothing is impossible for their parents.
They don’t doubt.
They believe.
Faith is natural.
They like the dog and the cats, if parents like them.
Anything they are trained from early, a champion is a default.
Obedient, often try to be obedient to the T.
Honestly is a default.
No guile.
Pure heart.
Lovable.
Loving.
Loving without conditions.
Loving without strings.
Huggable.
Make any room joyful.
Thrive on sound and noise.
24 hours games they love.

I was having lunch at the office with my darling wife and sweet sons.
My eldest son works in the office while the younger one is part-time as he’s still a student.
My wife manages the business all round in addition to managing the largest teams.
In our office, with more than 130 members, people bring their children. This young, smart boy has a higher attendance than many full-time employees.

My boys were saying that they occasionally scold Ryan. He sulks for two minutes. But after two minutes, it’s like a reset and he’s back to being as joyful as ever.

When I heard this remark, I heard a whisper. This is what I want many to learn.
Learning to take corrections well.
Not being offended.
Taking instructions,
Taking corrections,
When you understand it or not, with the right attitude.
Not being offended is a choice.
You can not offend a child.
Always loving.
Open to rebuke.

Here are a few verses on rebuke and offence.
These are good to make your own, as you learn to like a child.

Do keep thinking on these verses. Ask Jesus.
Ask the Holy Spirit. He will make you like a child.
You will handle rebukes better.
None will be able to offend you.
Yes, you will be like a glorious child.
Jesus Christ will be well pleased with you.
With the precious child-like qualities you have.
